| 英文描述 | This rare disease is contracted by both dogs and cats, but is more common in cats. CRYPTOCOCCUS NEOFORMANS, a gram-positive yeast, is the usual organism. Cats often show upper respiratory, and occasional pulmonary involvement. Often there is a swelling of the bridge of the nose and regional lymphadenopathy. Can also cause CNS, bone, cutaneous, or ocular lesions. The most consistent ocular lesion is granulomatous chorioretinitis. There is a report of this disease in a neonatal puppy, possibly due to infection from the vagina of the dam. |
